The Kent Dance Challenge 2007 saw Maidstone come alive with dance. The competition allows dancers to compete in an exciting and enthusiastic environment. We saw the introduction of the Rebecca McNie award. Rebecca was a beautiful and talented young dancer from Deal in Kent who lost her life in a car accident. Rebecca's spirit lives on in our trophy to inspire and encourage young talent. The Rebecca McNie foundation, with all our help, will grow and help even more young talented people live their dreams. We had fantastic judges from Colin's Dance College in Romford, also Tim Noble who has worked with the likes of Kylie, Madonna, Girl's Aloud, Britney, Justin Timberlake. Tim has also worked professionally in London's West End. Our judges panel was completed by Steve Eden from Salsa Sensation/Dance Junction and our own lovely Jessica Powell from Ashford.
We would like to thank the former Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Mike Fitzgerald, for his kind donation and acknowledge the continued support and sponsorship we receive from Dancing in Kent. We are looking forward to 2008 where we are inviting dancers from all over the UK to take to the stage in Maidstone for the title
